EXPERIENCE THE QUEEN CHARLOTTE ISLANDS
Located on Graham Island in the Queen Charlotte Islands, Kumdis River Lodge is our only fishing facility open year round. At Kumdis you can enjoy world class fishing in both fresh and salt water, highlighted by river steelhead fishing in the winter and spring, and ocean salmon fishing in the summer.
LODGE COMFORTS
Kumdis River Lodge is situated in a quiet wilderness setting, bordered by Masset Inlet and the scenic Kumdis River.
It accommodates up to 8 guests in 4 bedrooms in a well-appointed main cabin. The cabin features a common dining and living area, fireplace, satellite TV, and an outdoor hot tub and gazebo.
For tourists visiting the Islands, Kumdis River Lodge is centrally located near Port Clements on Graham Island, just off the main Island road, and is available for full service accommodations, including meals, or as a simple cottage rental.
The Langara I paddlewheeler—the original, and now retired, Langara Fishing Lodge vessel—is also located at the Kumdis dock, operating as a restaurant open to the general public on special dates.
YEAR ROUND FISHING
The scenic rivers and streams of the Queen Charlotte Islands provide incredible fishing opportunities in every season, with hard fighting steelhead in the winter and spring, spawning coho salmon in the late summer and fall, and resident cutthroat trout and Dolly Varden all year long.
In the summer months, ocean waters beckon off the north coast of Graham Island with abundant runs of chinook and coho salmon, as well as halibut, lingcod and rockfish.
For the avid angler, multi-day fishing packages are fully guided and all-inclusive from Vancouver. For visitors who want just a taste of sport fishing in the Queen Charlottes, guided daylong excursions are also available.
