OCEAN FISHING

For those who have only dreamt of fishing the ocean waters of the Queen Charlotte Islands, Kumdis River Lodge provides a great introduction to this truly world class fishery.

Offering a simpler experience than our lodges at Langara Island, ocean fishing at Kumdis still features all the same ingredients that make up an unforgettable fishing adventure: an incredible abundance of Pacific salmon and halibut, dramatic marine wildlife, first class boats and equipment, finely prepared cuisine, and, of course, the high standards of service that Langara is famous for.

Guests at Kumdis River Lodge can enjoy fishing in luxurious 27-foot Grady White boats, complete with well-appointed walk-around cabins.

All necessary fishing equipment for all targeted species is provided: for salmon fishing, 10-foot mooching rods with single action reels and 25-pound test line (level-wind reels are also available); for halibut fishing and other bottom fish, stout 6-foot halibut rods with level-wind reels and 50-pound test line. Fly fishing gear is also available for guests who would like to try their hand at ocean fly fishing for salmon.
