I remember arriving for the first time to work at Langara, it gave me goose bumps. Suddenly I understood what everyone had been telling me — I knew this place was about to change my life. Everything about it has helped me grow as a person. The magic of Haida Gwaii makes me feel like I can take on the world.
Visitors to our lodges will often experience the best fishing of their lives with us, and enjoy it amidst a display of scenery and wildlife that few places on earth can match.
Yet for many Langara guests, the most impressive aspect of their trip is the tireless energy and attentive service from our hard working staff.
We take great pride in setting a very high standard of service at Langara. If you feel you are capable of meeting and exceeding that standard, and are excited about the opportunity to work in a remote environment, we’d like to hear from you.
A love of the outdoors, strong work ethic and positive attitude are prerequisites.
We are currently accepting applications for a variety of positions in the 2022 season. See below for job descriptions and how to apply.
Hiring process:
Our Lodge Managers will begin reviewing applications and contacting suitable applicants for interviews around late February — if you wish to check on the status of your application, please do not contact our office prior to then.
Priority will be given to applicants who are available to work our entire season (May to Sept).
Positions typically available each season are kitchen staff, housekeepers, dining room servers, dock hands, and fishing guides — this is seasonal employment at Langara Fishing Lodge and Langara Island Lodge.
We offer a positive working environment, competitive wages, very comfortable accommodations, meals, lodge uniforms, and travel to and from the lodge.
Preferences will be given to applicants with previous resort experience, “Serving It Right” and/or related certifications. We also prefer applicants who are available to work our entire season (mid-May to mid-Sept), but this is not a requirement.
